PAKISTAN ACHIEVES SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT MILESTONE WITH FIRST SHIPMENT OF OVER 2,000 ELECTRIC VEHICLES AT KARACHI PORT.

Under the Blue Economy Vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the leadership of Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, Pakistan has achieved an important milestone towards sustainable transportation.

The 220-metre-long Roll-on/Roll-off vessel M.V. Grande Shanghai successfully berthed at KGTML Terminal, bringing Pakistan’s first shipment of more than 2,000 electric vehicles to Karachi Port.

The milestone reflects world-class port infrastructure, efficient operations and Pakistan’s growing commitment to cleaner and future-ready mobility.
