PAKISTAN AND DENMARK STRENGTHEN MARITIME COOPERATION

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, met with the Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, H.E. Jacob Linulf, to discuss Danish investment in Pakistan’s maritime sector. The meeting focused on the $2 billion investment plan aimed at modernizing ports, improving logistics, and promoting sustainable shipping practices.

Both sides explored opportunities for green shipping, renewable energy solutions, and workforce development. The minister highlighted Denmark’s expertise in maritime technology and its potential to boost Pakistan’s economy and trade competitiveness.

The discussion also covered cultural ties and tourism. They emphasized the need for stronger people-to-people connections and highlighted the historical and scenic attractions of both countries.

Ambassador Jacob Linulf reaffirmed Denmark’s commitment to expanding its presence in Pakistan’s maritime sector. Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry welcomed this interest and assured full support to Danish investors.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to speed up the MoU’s implementation and explore further areas of cooperation in trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
