Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry met Li Li, Vice President of China Railway Electrification Engineering Group, in Beijing.

The meeting focused on port–rail connectivity, railway electrification, port logistics, smart transport systems and the promotion of regional trade under the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The Federal Minister emphasised that a modern, efficient and sustainable transport network would connect Pakistan’s ports with inland economic corridors, enhance trade competitiveness and support long-term economic growth.

The Chinese company expressed strong interest in investment and technical cooperation in Pakistan, while both sides agreed to strengthen institutional collaboration on priority infrastructure projects. Li Li also accepted the invitation to visit Pakistan.
